What We Look For
Pieces do not have to directly relate to feminism. In fact, we aim to represent a broad range of experiences. We look for work that demonstrates a distinctive voice, emotional authenticity, and an attentive eye towards craft and language. Send us work that is daring, insightful, extraordinary, and quirky.
Who Can Submit
Vox Viola is open to women-identifying writers and artists. We welcome voices across all races, ages, abilities, sexualities, and backgrounds. Our mission is intersectional: we want to hear from those whose stories have too often been marginalized.
What We Accept
- Poetry — up to 5 poems per submission
- Fiction — short stories and flash fiction
- Creative Nonfiction — personal essays and narrative nonfiction
- Visual Arts — photography, illustration, and mixed media
All work must be previously unpublished and written in English.

- Prose submissions should be double-spaced.
